Seedbed Preparation
Seedbed fumigation, fertilization, and initial pest/disease control before and after sowing.
Transplanting & Establishment
Planting water treatments for nematodes, soil insects, soreshin, and cutworm. Apply pre-emergent herbicides within 5 days of planting.
Vegetative Growth
Active growth phase requiring budworm, aphid, and disease monitoring. Alternaria and Frogeye control from 6 weeks after planting.
Topping & Suckering
Critical phase for yield and quality. Top at 18-20 leaves. Continue budworm, aphid, and disease monitoring.
Ripening & Harvest
Final disease monitoring before reaping. Maintain leaf quality for curing.
